You're not here because you're broken. You're here because your body won't let you forget — the anxiety that won't settle, the tension in your shoulders, the shutdown when intimacy gets too close.

These aren't problems. They're intelligence, and you're ready to listen.

I'm Nicholas, a somatic therapist specializing in trauma, relationships, and sexuality. This work isn't about understanding your patterns better — it's about feeling your way into something different.

You're not here because you're broken. You're here because your body won't let you forget; the anxiety that won't settle, the tension in your shoulders, the shutdown when intimacy gets too close. These aren't problems. They're intelligence, and you're ready to listen.

I'm Nicholas, a body-centered therapist specializing in somatic work, trauma resolution, and nervous system regulation. I'm Hakomi-trained and work with individuals and couples in-person in Durango, Colorado, and online throughout the state.

This isn't about understanding your patterns better, it's about feeling your way into something different. This shift happens in your body, not just your mind.

Reclaim Sexuality

Trauma | Relationships | Sexuality

You can't think your way out of a nervous system stuck in survival. You can't analyze your way into intimacy. You can't understand your way back to desire. The body doesn't speak that language.

These aren't separate issues; they're threads of the same pattern, woven through how you feel, protect, and let yourself be alive.

This work is for those ready to go beneath the surface — to explore the patterns quietly shaping how you feel, relate, and desire.

A Personal Note

Nicholas Hill, Licensed Professional Counselor and Hakomi-trained somatic therapist in Durango Colorado

My father's death broke me open. Grief became the teacher I didn't ask for. It showed me what the body holds when the mind has nothing left to say, and what it takes to actually move through something instead of just understanding it.

That loss pulled me to the mountains, to meditative silence, to years of learning how sensation speaks louder than story. I trained in somatic work because talking wasn't enough. The deeper I went, the clearer it became: healing requires all of you, not just the safe parts, but the messy, vulnerable, alive parts that trauma works hardest to shut down.

I've sat with people in crisis, worked in the mess of community mental health, and done my own work in the places most people avoid. I'm not here because I figured it out; I'm here because I know what it's like to be stuck in your own nervous system, wondering if you'll ever feel like yourself again.

If you're ready to stop thinking about it and start feeling your way through, let's talk.
